Its not good for me but I would consider chips and sour cream dip as perfect. I could probably eat it every day, which is why I never buy any. I am sure I will think of something better later but this is what came to mind first.

probably a 7 or 8 if you count all forms of Meyer (Mayer, Meier, etc... ) but I would say probably a 4 or 5.

I know, I know, it isn't even Friday. I am a little behind. Jason and I had to make an unexpected trip to Iowa for my grandmothers funeral this week, so we were a little off schedule.

I don't know the exact speed but I would say probably around 80 wpm... alot faster than I typed in keyboarding class in high school.

15! I am completely joking, I would say a 7 or 8.

Ok, in chronological order...
Mrs. Griffeon (6th grade and I am not sure that I spelled it right) without her, I never would have survived junior high.
Mr. Helton (high school chemistry) Awesome teacher.. I don't even know what to add to that.
Mr. Hill (I never took a class with him but he was my basketball and softball coach) Great coach.
There are many more but these are the first 3 that came to mind.. and I didn't include teachers from college and grad school which would make the list even longer!

What are your plans for this upcoming weekend?

Well, if I had written this when I was supposed to, I would say spending some time with Jason's parents in Madison. We had a great weekend. Great sights (farmers market, capitol, botanical gardens, and just spring in general) and great food. I will post pictures and better descriptions later.
If I were writing about this weekend, I would say working. Jason will be out of town at a meeting and other than a lab party at my advisor's house, I have no plans.

Sorry I have been so bad about blogging this week. I haven't even cooked that much.
Don't worry, nothing much has happened. The weather is finally warming up, we didn't win the megamillions (or whatever you call it), and we have been working too much.

What is your usual bedtime? Do you like that, or would you rather it be different?

It completely varies. I would say somewhere between 8 and 12. I wish I could be on a better schedule but there are usually too many things I need to do at night (and yes, watching TV is a need)

Hmmm.. I would say that at least lately I have taken more advice than I have given.

Describe a memorable meal you've had.

I have lots of memorable meals... the one that sticks out in my mind is our anniversary dinner in Chicago. Jason surprised me with a trip and we got a recommendation from the hotel concierge. I can tell you the whole meal. I had pumpkin souffle for an appetizer, gnocchi and ragu for the main course, and creme brulee for dessert. It was all wonderful but the pumpkin souffle was amazing!

I don't know that it necessarily made me think differently about something... but 'My Sisters Keeper' definitely made me think about life in general.

What does the color pink make you think of?

Now this is a bad start to questions. I hate pink. Jason will tell you about the Christmas he bought me an iPod mini (I think it was 3-4 years ago). They were the original version minis and came in four colors: grey, puke green, gold, and pink. Now Jason knew I didn't like pink but he thought I would like it more than the other colors...... needless to say that as soon as I opened the box, we were headed back to the store for the silver one I have today.

Where on your body do you have a scar, and what caused it?
I have a couple that I can think of off the top of my head.
I have a scar above my navel from having it pierced. I had to take the ring out for an MRI and never put it back.
The other major one is on my chin. The summer before 7th grade, I had a bike accident on my way to a softball game. I went over the handlebars. I lost a tooth and had something like 30-40 stitches inside my mouth, on my chin, and on my upper lip (some from the dentist and some from a plastic surgeon).

What is something that has happened to you that you would consider a miracle?
Hmmmm... well maybe that I survived the bike accident that I described above? Or probably more likely that I survived the pickup truck accident when I was 4 (I think I have scars from it but I am not sure).

Well, I know I said advertisement incorrectly because even though I thought I was saying it right, I can remember my mom asking me to say it to my grandparents and they would just laugh at me. I prefer silent vibrations. Ringing sounds bother me. Although I am partial to a ringtone I have specifically for my friend Moises. My phone plays 'suavamente' when he calls.

I think there is a saying in Iowa (and most midwestern states) that goes something like... 'If you don't like the weather in (insert state name here) hang around for a little while, it will change' So I guess that is equivalent to calling myself moody.

Thats a tough one... since I am a geneticist I would say science but I also seem to know many random historical facts (at least until I play Trivial Pursuit.
